Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 | Phnom Penh – Arrival

Meal: None
Upon your arrival at Techo Phnom Penh International Airport, you will be greeted by our friendly driver (with/without guide) then transfers directly (approx. 45 minutes) to the hotel for check-in and have your own free time.

Overnight in Phnom Penh

Day 2 | Phnom Penh Historical Sites & Champey Academy of Arts

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch

Breakfast is at the hotel. We depart to witness the tragic site of Choeung Ek – the killing field that proceeded more than 20 thousands of civilians and the site is connecting with Tuol Sleng Museum – was the former school that was transformed to Tortured Prison S21. Next, we stroll around Russian market for shopping before having Khmer set lunch at Bopha Titanic restaurant by Phnom Penh Riverside.

Afternoon, transfer to Champey Academy of Arts where you will observe their classes in traditional dance at 2.00pm – both classical and folkloric, traditional music and traditional drawing/painting. Not only just observing their arts but also learning what and how the art school provides a safe space for disadvantaged young people where school can introduce them to their nation’s rich arts culture while helping them to experience the pride, self-confidence and poise which come from mastering difficult skills.

Return to the hotel and have free time.

Overnight in Phnom Penh

Day 3 | Phnom Penh City Tour & Mekong Sunset Boat

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch

Breakfast is at the hotel. Today we start the tour at 8.30am from hotel then we drive for the fantastic morning highlight of Phnom Penh Capital toward Independent Monument where we stop to capture some beautiful photos before paying important visit to The Royal Palace – a complex of buildings which are served as the royal residence for the King of Cambodia, admired by impressive Silver Pagoda with over 5000 solid silver tiles and other Royal Stupas, shrines, monuments etc. Continue for a guided tour at the National Museum, the world’s most important collection of Cambodian antique sculptures and carvings. Next, continue to visit Wat Phnom with interesting legendary of founding place of Phnom Penh Capital.

Enjoy Khmer set lunch at Banana tree restaurant.

After lunch break, return to the hotel and have your own free time OR continue to walk around Central market. So please speak about this with our tour guide about this.

Central market is a dome shape mixing of French art decoration and was built in 1937, the dome of Central Market or Phar Thmei consists four long wings that gather hundreds of stalls displaying and selling many kinds of goods, local vegetables, meats, groceries, seafood, flowers, jewellery, clothes, brand/fake watches and many more.

Evening at 4.30pm, our guide and driver take you to Phnom Penh’s Riverside where you get on board with a welcome cocktail, watch the sunset fading at horizon, immerse yourself with golden color of Phnom Penh skyline. Disembark around 7.00pm and return to the hotel or get dropped off at Night Market.

Day 4 | Silk Island by Tuk Tuk & Night Street Food Tour

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch

Breakfast is at the hotel. We’re heading out for the guided tour at 8.30am by Tuk Tuk to Phnom Penh Riverside where we are planning to embark on a public ferry cruising across the Mekong River towards Silk Island (Koh Dach) which provides a nice Mekong River view with pleasant breathtaking on the way. Arrive and we disembark the ferry then we catch a Tuk Tuk to explore the silk village, observe traditional silk weaving by hand looms and see various colorful silk products that you probably want to grab a few silk items as souvenirs for friends and families. The fantastic sightseeing tour takes you through the local community overlooking Mekong, passing fruit orchards, vibrant vegetable gardens and stilt houses while learning from your tour guide about daily life of local people on this beautiful island. Continue to visit a small historical Pagoda and local school before having lunch at a selected local restaurant on the Silk Island.

After having a nice lunch break, we make our way back by public ferry then our awaiting car takes us to the hotel and enjoy own free time.

Evening at 5.15pm, our Tuk Tuk driver (no guide) will pick you up from the hotel then transfer to the meeting point where you will hop on a guided Tuk Tuk for the fantastic evening, takes you to street stands, a night-time food market, and several of the locals’ favorite mom-and-pop restaurants around the city. Sample barbecue, curried fish, and other delicious Cambodian dishes and tasty Cambodian beers against the backdrop of Phnom Penh’s unique nighttime scene. You will return by Tuk Tuk to the hotel around 9.00pm.

Overnight in Phnom Penh

Day 5 | Phnom Penh to Kampot by Train & Kampot River Sunset Boat

Meal: Breakfast

Enjoy the take-away breakfast. Our driver (with/without guide) picks you up at 6.00am then transfers to the train station where you will catch the train at 7.00am (3-4 hours) to Kampot Province.

Upon your arrival at the train station, our driver (with/without guide) will greet you then transfer to the hotel for check-in and have your own free time.

Evening at 4.45pm, our guide and driver transfer you from the hotel to Kampot riverside where we process to take a local boat which slowly cruises along Kampot River to let you cool down to enjoy beautiful nature, along with local snacks and beers (or soft drinks) while catching the spectacular sunset fading right behind mountain range.

Day 6 | Kampot Kayaking and The Surroundings

Meal: Breakfast, Dinner

Breakfast is at the hotel. We leave for the tour at 9.00am for Kayaking through the Green Cathedral in Kampot is a peaceful and unforgettable way to experience Cambodia’s natural beauty. Surrounded by lush nipa palms and mangrove forests, the calm waterways create a stunning green tunnel that offers a relaxing escape from the bustle of everyday life. This scenic adventure provides opportunities to spot local wildlife, enjoy breathtaking views, and immerse yourself in the tranquil atmosphere.

Afternoon, we’re going to explore Phnom Chhngok where we experience walking 203-step staircase, down into the caves and admired by Pre-Angkorian bricked temple, continue to see Kamot Secret Lake before heading to observe the process of pepper at a pepper farm where the best famous Kampot pepper comes from and you may purchase a few packs of Kampot pepper before leaving the farm, and resume the adventure day to see the salt fields with learning from our tour guide about salt processing, the trip is enhanced by beautiful rice paddies dotting with palm trees and mountainous landscape before we return to the hotel for refreshment.

Evening, our team takes you to have Khmer set dinner at a selected local restaurant and drop you off at the hotel after dinner.

Overnight in Kampot

Day 7 | Kep Crab Market, National Park Trekking & Rabbit Island

Meal: Breakfast, Lunch

Breakfast is at the hotel. We head out at 8.00am from Kampot town to visit the famous Kep Crab Market animated by crab farming, people selling a lot of fresh seafood as well as regional vegetables and fruits. Next, we venture by trekking with 8km through the jungle trail in Kep National Park, feel the serenity of the mother nature that admired by songs of wildlife/birds and you will probably come across wild monkeys, and take beautiful photos of Cambodia’s landscape overlooking blue sea, islands and countryside.

Transfer to Kep boat pier, embark a local boat to Rabbit Island where we will have lunch mixing of fresh seafood and fried crabs with Kampot green peppers, and enjoy free time, swimming by the white sand beach or have a short trekking to see people growing seaweeds (if any) on this island.

After leisure time, we will take the boat back to the mainland and return to the hotel in Kampot.

Day 8 | Kampot to Phnom Penh Airport

Meal: Breakfast

Breakfast is at the hotel. Our driver (with/without guide) will pick you up from the hotel then transfer within 3 hours to Techo Phnom Penh International Airport for your flight to the next destination.

OR you should consider spending a few nights on beautiful Koh Rong Island or on the peaceful Koh Rong Samloem Island or on another Cambodian island.
